Galaxies
A galaxy is a large group of stars and dust. They may contain from a few thousand to a trillion stars. There are three main galaxy shapes: spiral, elliptical, and irregular. Spirals look a little like a whirlpool of stars and dust. Ellipticals are somewhat rubgy-ball shaped and contain old stars and little dust. Irregulars have odd shapes due to gravitational distortion by other nearby galaxies. Galaxies are often found clustered together.
